CAJUN BARN COMES HOME!

Hi everyone,

Great news – following a meeting today with Greenwich Council (Tudor Barn leaseholders) we are really pleased to announce that The Cajunbarn is now back at The Tudor Barn in Eltham, London SE9. This means that our next gig with Petit et La Grosse will be at The Tudor Barn on Sunday 29^th. June. Doors open at 6.30pm.

Second piece of good news is that the “dodgy” pub is no more. This means that we won’t be bothered by “uninvited” guests, karaoke and a bar manager who was often very “moody” – we’ll have the whole building to ourselves.

The building has changed its use and no longer has a licence to sell alcohol – this means that you’re free to bring your own (don’t forget glasses and corkscrews). We canvassed a lot of our members about this and everyone said that it didn’t matter and it had the advantage of being cheaper.

Greenwich Council is letting us hire the premises at a reduced rate but this is still a lot higher than previous arrangements. In line with other venues and to ensure that we can keep the club running we have to increase the door price by 50p. We hope you feel this will be worth it – concession price remains unchanged.

We hope to sell tea, coffee and some soft drinks and cakes – all proceeds will go to the extra running costs.

Third piece of good news is that we will be moving to Saturday nights as soon as the bands are able to do Saturdays for us.
